敬語 [けいご] (keigo-1)

There are basically two forms of keigo -

■ 尊敬語  そんけいご respectful
For someone "above" you, eg a teacher/client/boss.
eg "will you come tomorrow?"

■  humble
You use about yourself, when speaking to someone above you.
"I will go there tomorrow"

Many common verbs basically take a different form.

辞書系   尊敬語      |
行く  ⇒ いらっさる    | 参る
いく             | まいる
見る  ⇒ ご覧になる    |
みる    ごらん に なる
貰う  ⇒ 頂く
もらう   いただく
上げる ⇒ 差し上げる
あげる   さしあげる
食べる ⇒ 召し上がる 
たべる   めしあげる
射る  ⇒ いらっしゃる
いる    いらっしゃる
言う  ⇒ おっしゃる
いう    おっしゃる
